The RP63206 is the cartridge across Peerless’s current single handle ceramic faucets. The Xander has a faucet code (467314, 467314-A, or 502860) printed on it that affects some trim parts but not the cartridge.

Before you start. Shut off the two small valves under the sink by turning them clockwise, then open the faucet to confirm the water has stopped. Plug the drain so small parts cannot fall in. You will need a screwdriver, an adjustable wrench or pliers, and for most handles a hex key (an Allen wrench, sold as an inexpensive set at any hardware store). If a shutoff valve will not turn or starts to drip, or anything is corroded and will not loosen with moderate force, stop and see when to call a plumber. New to this? Start here explains the parts and tools in plain language.

Not sure this is your faucet? See how to identify your Peerless cartridge without a model number, or how to find your brand and model.

Taking it apart

  1. Loosen the set screw and lift the handle.
  2. Remove the bonnet (RP101259 on the Core; RP93978 bonnet and cap on the Xander).
  3. Lift the cartridge out and set the new one in the same orientation.

Repairs

  • Drip from the spout or leak at the handle: replace the RP63206
  • Core hose or wand: RP63202 hose and wand assembly, weight RP81974
  • Hot and cold reversed: swap the supply lines
