Pfister two handle faucets use a separate cartridge or stem under each handle, and the hot and cold sides are different parts that cannot be swapped. The 910-031 hot cartridge even has left-hand threads. Replace the side that drips.
Before you start. Shut off the two small valves under the sink by turning them clockwise, then open the faucet to confirm the water has stopped. Plug the drain so small parts cannot fall in. You will need a screwdriver, an adjustable wrench or pliers, and for most handles a hex key (an Allen wrench, sold as an inexpensive set at any hardware store). If a shutoff valve will not turn or starts to drip, or anything is corroded and will not loosen with moderate force, stop and see when to call a plumber. New to this? Start here explains the parts and tools in plain language.

910-031 at Home Depot. Pfister replacement parts lookup.
Steps (910-031 and 910-032)
- Shut off both supply stops and open both handles.
- Pull the cap off the leaking handle, remove the handle screw, and lift off the handle and the adapter beneath it (970-016).
- Unscrew the retainer nut (962-042).
- Lift the cartridge out. Note which way the small V notch on the stem faces: with the notch up the cartridge opens clockwise, with it down it opens counterclockwise. Hot and cold are mirror images.
- Fit the correct side replacement with the notch in the same orientation. Remember the hot cartridge’s threads are left-hand.
- Refit the retainer nut, adapter, handle, and cap. Test.
