Tub Spout Part Numbers by Brand

Tub spouts are mostly interchangeable, and a universal spout fits almost any pipe. The reason to buy the brand’s spout is to match the finish and the shape of the rest of the shower trim. The numbers below are the ones the manufacturers and major retailers publish; where a number could not be confirmed it is not listed.

Looking for the valve behind the wall instead (the handle that controls temperature)? That repair depends on the brand. See how to find your brand and the brand page for your shower.

Pfister

Pfister’s 920-185A is a diverter spout with Pfister’s QuickConnect fitting, and the 920-025A is the Catalina diverter spout. Pfister does not state the connection type on its pages. Remove the old spout and match it, or take it to the store.

American Standard

American Standard sells slip-on diverter spouts for its current collections (for example the Studio S 8888318 series) and the older 8888.026 diverter spout. Retailer listings for the 8888.026 disagree on the connection, so confirm against the old spout before ordering.

Glacier Bay and Peerless

Glacier Bay’s RP90056 (Bamboo) diverter spout is threaded, and Home Depot states it cannot be converted to slip-on. Peerless spouts are Delta designs; match them by the Delta numbers above or with a universal spout.

Universal

The Danco 88703 fits slip-on 1/2 inch copper, 1/2 inch threaded, and 3/4 inch threaded, and costs about $23. It is the spout to buy when you do not know what is behind the old one.
